Winning this prestigious title of Miss Preteen National Teenager 2009-2010 is an honor . As an official spokesperson for the America’s National Teenager Scholarship Organization ( ANTSO ) I have traveled across the country speaking on behalf of the organization and working with various service agencies. Winning this title has helped me realize my potential and has motivated me to believe in myself and to give 100 % at all times.
My first successful accomplishment as the newly crowned winner was on August 13, 2009. My contribution of coloring books, stickers, crayons, and teddy bears to the Pediatric Patients at Tampa General Hospital in Florida made channel 13 news and the Tampa Tribune Newspaper. I believe this was a success, not only because I was featured on the television news, and published in the newspaper, but the community involvement and support from families, friends, local businesses, churches, and schools were outstanding. This remarkable accomplishment will not only be remembered as the first, but as one that proves my motto “no matter how small your contribution, a helping hand goes a long way”
I am the Founder and President of the newly established nonprofit organization named Tampa Bay Teens on a Mission (TBTOAM) a Community Service Organization, seeking to make a difference in the lives of people. TBTOAM has received several awards and recognition from many organizations including the Florida House of Representatives and The Congress of the United States and is striving to become a pivotal service in the community. To date, TBTOAM has approximately 50 members and is continually growing.
