What rang through your mind the second your name was called as the winner?

The first thought that crossed my mind when my name was announced as the ANTSO preteen winner was, “WOW… I can’t believe I won. This is amazing; I’ve made it!” At one point, I asked myself… is this for real or is it just my imagination? I was on the stage with the flashing lights of cameras, a bouquet of roses in my left hand, a trophy in the right and a crown on my head. I finally realized that my dream had come true. I couldn’t believe it; this was my third pageant and I am already the national queen. I had no idea what it was like to be a National Title Holder but I knew it meant a lot of hard work. I am thrilled about working with the Boys and Girls club, traveling across the country and making new friends. I know this is only the beginning of what is yet to come and I can’t wait for my reign and all the activities and opportunities that are ahead of me. My family is so proud of me (especially my grandfather and grandmother). All my hard work has paid off. I want to thank my coach, Chamanda Burris, my sister queens, church families, and the entire ANTSO organization for helping me to discover the beauty that lies within and molding me to be the national queen I am today. Most of all, I want to thank God for blessing me and giving me supportive parents, brothers and sisters. I truly feel like a queen right out of the fairy tales and I am humbled with this title and look forward to being Miss U.S.A one day. ANTSO ROCKS!!!
